Waikanae was the venue for the most recent training event in July 2019, which saw attendees from Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Zealand spend time at El Rancho to participate in a weekend of pastoral training. Our New Zealanders included representatives from our Filipino congregation in Masterton, and members from Invercargill through to Auckland. The gathering had a notably diverse

The weekend event consisted of highly engaging sessions on listening skills, and the challenges facing our people in Pastoral care. There were many opportunities not only for getting to know one another and sharing knowledge, but also for individual testimonies and encouragement.

The weekend sessions were followed by a Board Meeting on the Monday morning of 22 July.
