GCI NZ RETREAT

A time of Fellowship and Learning

GCI's annual denominational gathering has been the highlight of the church's calendar since its inauguration in New Zealand in 1969, in Taupo.  Most years, we like to gather at a central location, usually in September, for a week of fellowship, fun, learning and worship. There are sermons, discussions, activities - all centred on general Christian themes.  Each year it is a time for celebrating Christ's presence and working in our lives, his love for each person and the mission to which he sends the Church.  It is a time of teaching and equipping, of worship, and of being strengthened spiritually for life and service.  And it is also a time of fellowship, renewing friendships and making new ones. er

2027 Retreat

​

The 2027 GCI-NZ Retreat is scheduled to take place from Wednesday 29th September to Sunday 3rd October, once again at the Willowhaven Holiday Park in Ngongotaha.

The theme will be "Sharing The Kingdom", and the programme will include insightful discussions planned to help attendees leave better equipped for Kingdom sharing in their own individual and congregational situations.  The introductory evening session will be at 7pm Wednesday evening, and daily sessions will begin at 10.30am from Thursday through Sunday.  Visitors are very welcome to join us!

​Our 2025 gathering was also held at the Willowhaven Holiday Park, with the theme of  "Dynamic Disciples of the King". A copy of the brochure outlining the programme is here. A report on how the Retreat went is here.
