Annual Celebration

A time of Fellowship and Learning

GCI's annual denominational gathering has been the highlight of the church's calendar since its inauguration in New Zealand in 1969, in Taupo.  Most years, we like to gather at a central location, usually in September, for a week of fellowship, fun, learning and worship. There are sermons, discussions, activities - all centred on general Christian themes.  Each year it is a time for celebrating Christ's presence and working in our lives, his love for each person and the mission to which he sends the Church.  It is a time of teaching and equipping, of worship, and of being strengthened spiritually for life and service.  And it is also a time of fellowship, renewing friendships and making new ones. er

Ngongotaha

Our 2024 gathering took the format of a Retreat, and was held at the Affordable Willowhaven Holiday Park in Ngongotaha, not far from the popular tourist destination of Rotorua, from 2-6 October, 2024.  For a report on what happened at the Retreat, please click this link: 2024 Retreat Report.
